A rich and structured Tuscan wine

The estate

The story commenced in 1984 when a couple of wine enthusiasts acquired a property, initially intended to be a place where they could live close to nature, this property soon became a wine estate. Tua Rita was born. Over the years, as Tua Rita's wines started to gain recognition, the estate grew from two hectares to nine, then twenty and currently comprises some thirty hectares. Tua Rita has now become an essential reference among fine Tuscan wines, a major wine region in Italy.

The vineyard

The Tua Rita estate spreads over almost 30 hectares in the Maremma (IGT) wine-growing area, in the Val di Cornia, beautifully situated between the Tyrrhenian Sea and the Tuscan Metalliferous Mountains.

The wine

Giusto di Notri 2020 by Tua Rita is a Tuscan wine that has been produced since 1992. This IGT Toscana wine is made from vineyards resting on clay soils, composed of pebbles in the upper plots and silt in the lower ones. A higher concentration of clay distinguishes the mid-slope vineyards, where the Merlot grapes are planted.

Vinification and ageing

The grapes are harvested by hand in 15 kg crates. The wine is aged for around 18 months in French oak barrels. After bottling, additional ageing is carried out for several months before the wine is sold.

The blend

Tua Rita's Giusto di Notri 2020 comprises a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc.

For an optimal tasting, serve between 15 and 18°C.
