Castello Banfi is regarded as a precursor in the art of Italian winemaking. The family-owned estate was founded by the Mariani brothers in 1978 and produces wines in Montalcino town (Tuscany). The Marianis also own other properties in Piedmont: Principessa Gavia and Vigne Regali. Great respect for traditions continues to inspire Castello Banfi winemaking. Over the years, the winery gained worldwide recognition for their commitment and excellence. Castello Banfi pioneered Sangiovese clonal research with the aim to produce world-class Brunello di Montalcino vintages.
