The Saint-Julien appellation spreads out over 5.5% of the Médoc vineyard area and encompasses the Saint-Julien-Beychevelle, Cussac-Fort-Médoc and Saint-Laurent-Médoc communes. Saint-Julien produces famous Bordeaux red wines with the dominant grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, but there is also a small amount of Petit Verdot and sometimes traces of Malbec in the wines. Ten classified growths share almost all the wines of Saint-Julien and they illustrate the homogeneity of the quality of the wines. The rich wines of the Saint-Julien appellation are divine nectars and plunge palates into a whirlwind of finesse, perfumes and harmonious bouquets. They are sometimes powerful from terroirs located further north, but rather delicate from those towards the south. Saint-Julien is famous for its mythical wines, such as those from Beychevelle, Léoville-Poyferré, Talbot, Léoville-Barton and Léoville-Las-Cases. Discover the best Saint-Julien wines at Millésima.
