Description
The indulgence and elegance of a Rosé champagne by Devaux
The estate
Founded by two brothers, Jules and Auguste Devaux, the Champagne Devaux House remained a family-owned property from 1846 to 1987, the year this invaluable heritage was passed on to the Union Auboise, now known as the “Groupe Vinicole Champagne Devaux.”
The vineyard
With partnerships with over 100 winegrowers, Champagne Devaux has developed a unique approach to Champagne over the years, through sustainable viticulture across its entire vineyard. Crafted from exceptional vineyards, Devaux champagnes showcase two emblematic grape varieties of Champagne: the round and powerful Pinot Noir from the Côte des Bar, and the fine, elegant, and fresh Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs and Montgueux.
The single-parcel cuvées, grouped under the D collection, are renowned for their purity and authentic expression of the house’s expertise.
Winemaking and aging
Alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats (20%) and barrels (80%), followed by partial malolactic fermentation. Minimum aging of 5 years in the cellar. Disgorgement at least 6 months before release. The dosage is 6 g/l.
Blend
Pinot Noir (55%) of which 10% is vinified as a red wine, and Chardonnay (45%) from the Côte des Blancs.
