Description
An elegant and balanced second wine from Saint-Julien
The property
Founded in the 18th century and acquired in 1917 by the Cordier family, the Château Talbot is a prestigious vineyard located in Saint-Julien-Beychevelle, on the left bank of Bordeaux. Today led by Nancy Bignon-Cordier, with Jean-Pierre Marty and Jean-Michel Laporte, the estate is recognized for its subtle, intense, and balanced wines.
The vineyard
Connétable Talbot, the second wine of this Saint-Julien estate, comes from vines that are on average 29 years old.
Vinification and aging
Manual harvest accompanied by manual and then optical sorting. The vinification took place in thermoregulated stainless steel tanks, followed by aging in French oak barrels, allowing the wine to develop its aromatic complexity while preserving the fruit.
Blend
This Connétable Talbot 2024 from Château Talbot is the result of a blend of cabernet sauvignon (59%) and merlot (41%).
