Description

A rich and balanced Barbaresco wine

The estate

Prunotto is an Italian estate with a cultural, historical and traditional winemaking tradition. The wines produced have the typical scents of the grapes grown in its surrounding hills. The various vineyards of the Antinori - Prunotto estate are located in the best agricultural areas of Piedmont. The estate uses all the modern technology necessary to produce high quality Piedmont wines.

The vineyard

The 50 hectares of the estate are located in Alba, at an equal distance from Barbaresco and Barolo. This iconic name among Piedmont wines is set on a beautiful, smooth and colourful plain in the Langhe and Roero region.

The vintage

A winter with seasonal conditions preceded a warm spring, particularly April, which advanced an early budding of the vineyard. The warm conditions of the summer were ideal for refining the ripening process.

Winemaking and ageing

Destemming and pressing before a 15-day fermentation followed by malolactic fermentation. Initial ageing in oak barrels before additional ageing in bottles for ten months before being released on the market.

Blend

Nebbiolo (100%).
