Antinori - Prunotto : Barbaresco 2021

The 2021 Barbaresco is a gorgeous wine to drink now and over the next handful of years. Crushed red berry fruit, cedar, spice, mint and orange peel are all beautifully lifted in this ethereal, understated Barbaresco from Prunotto.

Bright ruby red colour with a brightening rim. Very fine nuances of red currants, raspberries and cranberries on the nose, some leather and with floral notes of violets in the background. Equally delicate fruit flavours on the palate, accompanied by elegant tannins, with a long, fruity finish.

Rose petals and lifted aromatics lead to fresh raspberry and wild strawberry notes, accented by subtle garden herbs. The palate shows medium weight with approachable tannins. A direct expression that delivers its fruit in a straightforward manner through to the finish.
