Description
A delicate and fresh Premier Cru champagne by Duval-Leroy
The producer
Located at the tip of the Côte des Blancs in the Champagne region, the Duval-Leroy Champagne House has made a point of respecting its three core values since its creation in 1859: protect, perfect and transmit. Very active environmentally speaking, the Duval-Leroy house offers champagnes which best express their terroir and the distinctiveness of each vintage.
Known for their great aromatic complexity and structure, Champagne from the Duval-Leroy house is defined by elegance, minerality and brightness.
The wine
This cuvée comes from the Clos des Bouveries, the Duval-Leroy family's historic plot of land, located next to the village of Vertus. Facing east, this mid-slope terroir is unique in that it has an early vegetative cycle and produces concentrated berries, giving this champagne an intense and refined organoleptic expression.
Born from the house's desire to create an oeno-climatic champagne, this Extra-Brut Précieuses Parcelles "Clos des Bouveries" Premier Cru 2006 by Duval-Leroy produces a vintage each year. Thus, this champagne testifies to and perfectly reflects the impact of the climate on the Champagne region over the years.
The blend
This Extra-Brut Précieuses Parcelles "Clos des Bouveries" Premier Cru 2006 by Duval-Leroy is a 100% Chardonnay.
Vinification and ageing
Monovarietal and single-plot, this cuvée authentically expresses its terroir of origin, its climate and the know-how of the house. This Premier Cru champagne blends subtle woody notes with a pure and refined minerality, an alliance conferred by the vinification; half in oak barrels and half in vats.
