Originally composed of only a few parcels located in Marsannay, Morey-Saint-Denis, Fixin and Savigny-les-Beaune, the Bruno Clair estate owes its present-day appearance to its eponymous owner. Bruno Clair is the descendant of the emblematic Burgundian figure Joseph Clair, who is none other than the founder of the prestigious Domaine Clair-Daü.
However, when the time came to establish the estate's succession, the heirs were unable to reach an agreement and the estate was divided up and sold. Bruno Claire inherited part of the ancestral vines and from 1979 onwards began to care for them with the utmost respect and passion. Thus, the spirit of the family estate lives on and is embellished every day in the heart of the Domaine Bruno Clair.
Situated in Burgundy, the vineyard is located on the terroirs of Marsannay and Gevrey-Chambertin but also enjoys unique plots such as Clos Saint-Jacques and the sumptuous Clos-de-Bèze. This great variety of highly reputed terroirs are enhanced by a winemaker whose wealth of knowledge is unanimously acclaimed by critics.
Fine red and white Burgundy wines stem from the encounter between this passionate man and his lovingly cultivated land. Entirely devoted to his vines, and with the help of his children and his manager Philippe Brun, he strives to portray a lively and sharp image of Burgundy through his wines. Blending a refined style with a delicious persistence, the estate's wines are unparalleled in showing the sublime beauty of a well-respected terroir.
The estate's wide range of wines offer an array of interpretations of the fine and precise Bruno Clair signature style.
