The estate

Winegrowers from generation to generation for centuries, the Vincent Pinard estate is one of the finest references of the Sancerre appellation in the Loire. Florent and Clément, the two sons of Vincent and Cosette Pinard, have joined the family estate and devote their energy and passion to the reputation of this high-class estate. The entire Vincent Pinard range shows a perfect knowledge of the Sancerre terroir, with wines made from individual plots of land that are remarkable for their accuracy and precision, both in white and in red.

The vineyard

This estate, located in Bué, a few kilometres from Sancerre, comprises 17 hectares of vines that spread over limestone and clay-limestone soils. The entire vineyard is worked without the use of weedkillers, with grassing of the vines and tilling up the soil. Following an organic viticultural approach, Domaine Vincent Pinard does not use any insecticides, acaricides or anti-rot products.

The wine

One of the greatest white wines of Sancerre, the Vincent Pinard Chêne Marchand wine perfectly reveals all the typicity of its singular terroir while presenting a very promising ageing potential. The Sancerre Chêne Marchand wine by Vincent Pinard comprises a selection of plots from the old Chêne Marchand vineyard located in the village of Bué. The vines are 40 years old on average and are planted on the 'caillottes' and limestone soils, a typical feature of the Sancerre region.

Vinification and ageing

Green harvesting is carried out during the growing cycle. The grapes are harvested by hand and sorted using a vibrating sorting table. The grapes are then pneumatically pressed. The wine is aged in 4 barrels, 2 of which are new, and in stainless steel vats.
