The estate
The Château Larcis Ducasse has existed since the 17th century. Preservation, revealing the terroir and vine care are the guiding principles of this estate elevated to the rank of Premier Grand Cru Classé de Saint-Émilion in 2012 thanks to the work of Nicolas Thienpont, after taking over the reins of the estate in 2002.
The vineyard
Covering 11.15 hectares, this vineyard of Saint-Émilion sits on a clay-limestone plateau with astéries and south-facing terraces resting on clay-silty soils combined with clay-limestone soils on the hillside.
Blend
This Château Larcis Ducasse 2018 comprises Merlot (89%) and Cabernet Franc (11%).
