An exceptional vintage champagne from Champagne
The estate
Founded in 1812, the Champagne Laurent-Perrier House entered its golden age from 1948 onwards, thanks to the dynamism of Bernard de Nonancourt. Driven by this visionary businessman, the House distinguished itself by crafting cuvées that reflect its values of excellence and innovation.
Since its origins, the House has built its identity around Chardonnay. With the freshness and finesse it brings to the blend, this grape variety defines the style of this Champagne benchmark.
The House of Laurent-Perrier expresses its avant-garde spirit notably through Grand Siècle and its multi-vintage blends, its Ultra Brut in the "zero dosage" style, and its Cuvée Rosé, the first maceration rosé champagne in this category. These so-called "groundbreaking" cuvées, each release of which is an event, mark with their originality a new chapter in the history of the House of Laurent-Perrier and its quest for excellence, which underpins its international renown.
The values held dear by Bernard de Nonancourt find their quintessence in the Laurent-Perrier cuvées, unanimously acclaimed by connoisseurs.
The vineyard
This Laurent-Perrier Brut Millésimé 2018 comes from the finest terroirs of Champagne. The Chardonnay hails from the Côte des Blancs, particularly from the villages of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Avize, Cramant and Chouilly. The Pinot Noir, for its part, comes from the Montagne de Reims, with the crus of Verzy, Louvois, Aÿ, Tours-sur-Marne and Ambonnay.
The vintage
The year 2018 was marked by a mild winter and spring, followed by a warm and sunny summer. The harvest began in late August, revealing grapes of exceptional quality and a generous yield. These climatic conditions allowed the grapes to reach optimal ripeness.
Winemaking and aging
Laurent-Perrier Brut Millésimé 2018 benefited from seven years of aging, allowing the champagne to develop its aromatic complexity and finesse. This cuvée is produced only in rare and exceptional years, less than one year out of two.
Grape varieties
This 2018 vintage champagne is composed of 52% Chardonnay and 48% Pinot Noir.
