James Suckling

This is in a new bottle, like the stout ones used for the rosé and blanc de blancs. This is very structured with density and richness, with hints of strawberry to the apple character. The bubbles turn fine-textured at the end. Delicious flavors of biscuit and dried apple on the finish. There’s a special character here because of the very ripe vintage. Disgorged in November 2021. This is half chardonnay and half pinot noir. This can age well due to the phenolics. Drink or hold.

Vinous

Antonio Galloni

The 2015 Brut Millésimé, a blend of half Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs and half Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims, spent at least seven years on lees. Supple smokiness and a sense of rye bread with distant plum create a subtle nose. The palate continues with that lovely smokiness, wrapping it around aromatic plum and taut lemon, which are delicious counter poles in this elegant wine. The bubbles are a little frothy, but it acquits itself well for a 2015 vintage with all its freshness. Dosage is 6 grams per liter. (Lot LP33UK01624E) - Anne Krebiehl MW

Falstaff

Falstaff

Medium greenish yellow with silver reflections and a fine, persistent mousse. Cookie notes on the nose, with a hint of lemongrass, white peach and blossom honey. The palate has medium complexity of ripe pome fruit and mango, with a creamy texture, fine acidity and good minerality on the finish. A straightforward food companion. (PM).

Le Figaro Vin

On the nose, ripe, complex aromas oscillating between caraway and juniper, fennel and exotic fruits; on the palate, a fine mousse, a smooth, majestic texture, and a lovely salinity running over notes of white fruit, leading to an exceptionally elegant, mineral finish.

Robert Parker Wine Advocate

Kristaps Karklins

Disgorged in September 2024 with a dosage of eight grams per liter, Laurent-Perrier’s 2015 Brut Millésimé—an equal blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir—unfolds with aromas of white peach, lemon zest, jasmine and pear, with a subtle hint of passion fruit. The palate is medium-bodied, taut and pillowy, though it lacks a little flesh, displaying a chalky character and vivid acidity before tapering off into a saline, mouthwatering finish.

The refinement and vibrancy of a vintage Brut Champagne

The estate

Founded in 1812, the House of Champagne Laurent-Perrier entered its golden age in 1948, driven by the dynamism of Bernard de Nonancourt. Under the leadership of this visionary businessman, the house distinguished itself by crafting cuvées that reflect its values of excellence and innovation.

Since its origins, the house has built its identity around Chardonnay. Through the freshness and finesse this grape variety brings to the blend, it defines the style of this benchmark house of Champagne.

The House of Laurent-Perrier expresses its avant-garde spirit through, in particular, Grand Siècle and its multi-vintage blends, its “zero dosage” style Ultra Brut, and its Cuvée Rosé, the first maceration rosé Champagne of its category. These so-called “groundbreaking” cuvées, each a landmark creation in its own right, have marked a new chapter in the history of the House of Laurent-Perrier and its pursuit of excellence, which underpins its international renown.

The values held dear by Bernard de Nonancourt find their quintessence in the Laurent-Perrier cuvées, unanimously recognised by connoisseurs.

The vineyard

Located in the picturesque village of Tours-sur-Marne, the House of Champagne Laurent-Perrier benefits from a highly qualitative estate vineyard, complemented by long-standing supply agreements with winegrowers across the greatest terroirs of the Montagne de Reims, the Vallée de la Marne and the Côte des Blancs.

The wine

The House of Laurent-Perrier has the distinctive practice of releasing a vintage only once every two years, whereas the rest of Champagne produces a vintage in more than three years out of four on average. This commitment to excellence is partly responsible for the well-established international renown of this great House of Champagne.

Born of an exceptional year and aged for 7 years, this Laurent-Perrier Brut Millésimé 2015 is crafted exclusively from Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs and Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims.

The vintage

A year marked by significant climatic instability, 2015 began with a mild, rainy winter followed by a contrasting spring. Stormy summer conditions gave way to a cool September, ensuring the gradual and optimal ripening of the grapes.

Blend

This 2015 vintage Champagne is the result of a blend of Chardonnay (50%) from the Côte des Blancs (Chouilly, Oger, Cramant, Oiry) and Pinot Noir (50%) from the Montagne de Reims (Tours-sur-Marne, Aÿ, Tauxières, Verzenay, Ambonnay).
