Tasting
Appearance
The appearance is salmon-hued, adorned with pink and golden highlights.
Nose
Expressive, the nose opens with intense fruity fragrances (red berries, raspberry, redcurrant, blackcurrant, exotic fruits, mango and papaya). As it breathes, delicate floral notes (rose, honeysuckle) are revealed.
Palate
Full-bodied and round, the palate combines smoothness, length and power with beautiful freshness.
Food and wine pairings
The Rosé Vintage 2018 from Pol Roger is an ideal accompaniment to salmon, pink meats (small feathered game), fruit tarts or crumbles.
The vivacity and indulgence of a Rosé Vintage champagne
The estate
Founded in 1849, the Champagne Pol Roger House has perpetuated the excellence of its expertise and its perpetual quest for perfection for 5 generations. An essential reference beyond borders, Maison Pol Roger is the official supplier to the British Crown as well as to the finest Michelin-starred restaurants.
One of the last houses to still practice hand riddling of champagne bottles across its entire production, Pol Roger's uniqueness lies in its style, authentically expressing the full potential of exceptional Champagne terroirs.
The vineyard
Maison Pol Roger oversees an exceptional vineyard of 92 hectares of vines, including the finest plots of the Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Blancs, emblematic Champagne terroirs.
Winemaking and aging
Gentle pressing is carried out following the harvest. Alcoholic fermentation at low temperature (18°C) in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation. After blending and bottling, the second fermentation and aging take place in the House's historic cellars.
Produced in limited quantities, this Rosé champagne Vintage 2018 from Pol Roger benefits from additional aging of at least 3 months before release.
Blend
This vintage champagne 2018 is the result of a blend of pinot noir and chardonnay, completed before bottling and second fermentation with approximately 15% pinot noir from the finest crus of the Montagne de Reims.
