The producer
Timeless and legendary, the Bollinger Champagne House, nicknamed "Boll" by the inhabitants of the Champagne region and "Bolly" by the English, is part of an exclusive group of fine Champagne houses. Champagne Bollinger’s style is defined by the exemplary precision brought to each step of the winemaking process. Respect for traditions, riddling the bottles by hand, corking reserve magnum bottles, the last barrel maker in the Champagne region, the drive for excellence symbolises the whole culture of Champagne Bollinger. More than just an art, it is a heritage.
The vineyard
The strength of the Bollinger Champagne House lies in its vineyards. Comprising 174 hectares of vines divided into seven main vineyards, 85% of which are Grands Crus and Premiers Crus, the House is thus one of the few Champagne Houses to produce its own grapes for its blends.
The wine
Bollinger's Grande Année Rosé 2014 is made from 19 exceptional Champagne crus, mainly Aÿ, Verzenay for the Pinot Noir, Chouilly and Oiry for the Chardonnay grapes.
Vinification and ageing
Exclusive use of the cuvée and fermentation in barrels. It is aged in the cellar for twice as long as the rules set out in the Champagne appellation specifications. The ageing period is carried out under cork and the dosage is 8 grams per litre.
The blend
Pinot Noir (63%)
Chardonnay (37%)
This blend is completed by 5% of red wine from the Côte aux Enfants.
The tasting
Colour
Delicate, the colour is adorned with subtle pink hues.
Nose
Intensely fruity, the nose blends fragrances of raspberry, wild strawberry and cherry with notes of peach and quince.
Palate
Ample and creamy, the palate is seduced by this wine’s aromatic persistence, its refreshing acidity and its delicious fruity notes.

For an optimal tasting, serve between 8 and 10°C.
Food and wine pairing
Red tuna tataki, blue lobster or roasted duck breast served with an apple and quince compote are all fine food pairings for Bollinger's Grande Année Rosé 2014.
