It was on a road-trip up the Pacific Coast of California to visit the vineyards of Oregon's Willamette Valley that three winemakers - Anthony Filberti, David Low and Webster Marquez - hatched a plan to start their own business, producing hand-crafted Pinot Noir. Since 2004, Anthill Farms Winery has grown its operation from 8.5 barrels per year to almost 1,800 cases. The owners have, nevertheless, kept it their mission to remain small and to maintain the strictest possible control over the sourcing of their fruit. Today, Anthill Farms Winery offers some of California's very best new-wave Pinot Noir, six artisanal single-vineyard creations effortlessly expressing the diverse terroirs of the Sonoma Coast and Mendocino County.
