Description
An airy and fruity Côtes de Provence rosé wine
The estate
Founded by the Order of the Templars in the 13th century and then bequeathed to the Order of the Knights of Malta, Domaine Peyrassol has made its name over the vintages in the production of great Côtes de Provence wines.
In 2001, Philippe Austruy bought the estate and has continued its ancestral history. In 2002, this enthusiast undertook major work to restructure the vineyard and modernise the wine-making infrastructure, with a view to excel in the production of wines that reveal the quality of their terroir.
The vineyard
Produced since 2016, #Lou De Peyrassol is a Côtes de Provence wine made from a meticulous selection of terroirs and grapes from Domaine Peyrassol partner winemakers.
The vintage
After a hard winter, with several isolated storms, the spring was struck by severe frost and hail which, fortunately, spared the estate’s vineyard. The summer had three months of heat and relative drought.
The wine
2022 is the first vintage certified Organic Agriculture.
Winemaking and ageing
Suite à un pressurage pneumatique délicat la vinification est réalisée en cuve inox, tout comme l’élevage de quelques mois sur lies fines afin de favoriser une expression optimale de la riche palette aromatique de cette cuvée. Following a delicate pneumatic pressing, the vinification was carried out in stainless steel vats, as well as ageing for several months on fine lees to bring about the best expression of this wine’s rich aromatic palette.
Blend
Grenache (30%)
