Overview of great Italian wines

In Italy, wine has always been inseparable from family moments and sharing. They accompany Italian tables because of their ease to pair with a great variety of dishes and their distinctive characters. Be surprised with the charm of this wine country with our selection of 6 red wines.

Brunello di Montalcino DOCG 2011

A true Montalcino classic and a sure bet from the appellation, This 100% Sangiovese has a charming nose (violet, vanilla, forest fruit) and is warm on the palate. Its lovely chiseled structure offers a good potential for cellaring, but it can also be consumed now.

Chianti Classico DOCG "Gran Selezione" 2010

A true terroir wine from one of the greatest Italian names. This Gran Selezione (Chianti’s most selective category) is both faithful to its 100% Sangiovese origins and its specific soil that give it an elegant maturity and aromatic persistence.

Barolo DOCG "Via Nuova" 2009

Tailor-made in Barolo. Respecting the environment and the terroir through working the vineyard manually, the wines from this estate come from a real passion. This Via Nuova 2009 is 100% Nebbiolo. It stands out with its intense nose of dried flower, spice and almond aromas, and has a velvety texture.

Barbera d'Alba DOC "Vignota" 2016

Indulgence from the foot of the Alps with the use of biological vineyard practices, manual-worked vineyards, fermentation with indigenous yeast, low use of sulphites, and subtle oak. These are pure wines from 100% Barbera that offer great fruity freshness.

Teroldego Rotaliano Superiore DOC "Teroldego Riserva" 2014

Known as the Teroldego or the "Prince of Trentino". The Teroldego old vines, a native variety, uses pergola trellising. The wines are deep and complex that are powerful on the palate and superbly balanced due to freshness coming from the terroir.

Barbaresco DOCG "Bric Turot" 2010

A great Nebbiolo from Piedmont. As a Nebbiolo specialist, Prunotto comes from the emblematic grape associated with Barbaresco and Barolo. Prunotto delivers on this 2010 vintage to give a full-bodied wine with ripe fruit. The floral notes and minerality give it complexity and a beautiful personality.
