The Elegance of a Grand Cru Rosé Champagne by Pierre Moncuit
The Estate
Founded in 1889, the family-owned Pierre Moncuit house is located at the heart of the Champagne wine region. This grower-producer estate cultivates a 19-hectare vineyard planted exclusively with Chardonnay. Today, the estate is passionately run by Nicole, Yves and Valérie Moncuit, who continue to uphold an ancestral know-how. Far removed from mass-market standards, this discreet brand favors traditional distribution channels, offering authentic cuvées that reflect the purity and elegance of their exceptional terroirs.
The Vineyard
The vines that give rise to this Champagne are cultivated using traditional viticultural methods. The estate is also HVE-certified, reflecting a strong commitment to environmental respect. The grapes come from prestigious terroirs, combining the minerality of the chalky soils for the white grape variety with the richness of the Bouzy plots for the black grapes.
Winemaking and Aging
The making of this cuvée is overseen by Nicole Moncuit and Valérie Charpentier. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to preserve the freshness of the aromas. Malolactic fermentation is also carried out to bring greater roundness to the wine.
Grape Varieties
This cuvée is crafted from a blend of 89% Chardonnay and 11% Pinot Noir, both classified as Grand Cru.
