The estate
A family-run estate for five generations, J.L. Vergnon champions through its cuvées a delightful blend of tradition, passion for the terroir, and the authentic expression of one of Champagne’s flagship grape varieties, Chardonnay.
The vineyard
The vineyard of the Champagne J.L. Vergnon estate comprises Grands Crus from the Côte des Blancs as well as Premiers Crus from the villages of Vertus and Villeneuve. The estate manages around twenty plots, cultivated sustainably and certified HVE 3.
Winemaking and aging
This champagne is crafted from a blend of reserve wines aged 3 months in oak barrels, the year’s wine in stainless steel vats, and 10% red wine from the Mailly Grand Cru terroir. Aging in the estate’s cellars lasts 3 years before disgorgement. The dosage for this Blanc de Blancs cuvée is 3 g/liter.
Blend
Chardonnay (90%) from Mesnil sur Oger, Oger, Avize and Pinot Noir (10%) from Mailly Grand Cru.

Tasting
Appearance
The appearance is a subtle rose petal shade with orange highlights. The effervescence is exceptionally fine.
Nose
Precise, the initial nose reveals, with a lovely minerality, fragrances of redcurrant and grapefruit. With aeration, aromas of strawberry and saffron emerge, accompanied by pastry notes from the aging process.
Palate
The palate delights with its freshness, savoriness, and delicate texture. The finish is persistent and tangy, harmoniously combining mineral and chalky notes.
Serving
For optimal tasting, serve between 9 and 10°C.
