The estate

Home to notable personages since Antiquity, Château Miraval has seen Thomas Aquinas, the Prince of Naples and also Jacques Loussier live within its pastel pink walls. In 1970, this famous French jazz pianist revolutionised the Château Miraval: he had a recording studio installed where all the greatest rock legends were invited. In 2008, this magical place captured the hearts of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt who decided to buy the estate. They undertook modernisation work and succeeded in bringing Château Miraval to the heights of excellence of the greatest rosé wines of Provence.

The vineyard

Positioned in the heart of the Var, the prestigious Château Miraval benefits from an exceptional terroir in the commune of Correns, the first organic village in France. With a climate influenced by the spray of the Mediterranean Sea and a terroir composed of saline soils and plots surrounded by olive trees, Studio by Miraval 2022 is an IGP Mediterranean wine with a unique character and an almost iodine-like finish.

The wine

Studio by Miraval 2022 pays homage to a famous recording studio at Miraval where Pink Floyd recorded "The Wall."

Winemaking and ageing

Harvested early in the morning to limit the oxidisation of the juice and to preserve the freshness and purity of the grapes harvested at full maturity. Low intervention vinification. Direct pressing of the Cinsault and Tibouren in stainless steel tanks. Partial vinification of Grenache and Rolle in concrete tulip-shaped vats whose ovoid shape encourages the natural suspension of the lees, thus developing the final structure of the wine.

Tasting

Colour
The wine has a pale pink colour that is transparent and shining.

Nose
The nose entices with its floral notes typical of the provencal brush.

Palate
Full and generous, the palate gives scents of citrus scents, grapefruit and fig. Its mineral framework and its balance draw out to an iodine and lemon finish, with a hint of bitterness.
