Description
The expression and structure of a Premier Grand Cru Classé de Saint-Émilion
The estate
Located on Bordeaux’s Right Bank, where wine estates are often small, Château Troplong Mondot stands out as an exception. With its vast surface area, this emblematic Saint-Émilion estate, founded in 1700, ranks among the appellation’s most significant.
The vineyard
Situated at 110 metres above sea level within the Saint-Émilion appellation, the vineyard of Château Troplong Mondot benefits from clay-limestone soils, which guarantee a viticultural expression of rare finesse and fine balance.
Grape varieties
The vineyard of Château Troplong Mondot is planted predominantly with Merlot, complemented by Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.
