Description
A Complex and Elegant Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé
The Estate
Set within the renowned Saint-Émilion appellation, Château Barde-Haut is a historic estate dating back 250 years. Patrice Lévêque and Hélène Garcin-Lévêque devote all their energy to ensuring that this estate of enormous potential grows a little more in quality and renown with each passing day.
The Vineyard
Château Barde-Haut is a Saint-Émilion wine produced from a 16.89-hectare vineyard. Ideally situated in a south-facing natural amphitheatre overlooking the Dordogne, this terroir rests on clay-limestone soils.
Vinification and Ageing
Vinification in concrete and stainless steel vats is followed by 18 to 24 months of ageing in oak barrels.
Blend
Château Barde-Haut 2017 is a blend of Merlot (80%) and Cabernet Franc (20%).
