Description
The aromatic signature and finesse of a Brut Champagne
The estate
Founded in 1949, the Champagne Jeeper house takes its name from the vehicle, the Willys Jeep, that the estate's founder used to travel across his vineyard.
Acquired in 2009 by Nicolas Dubois, a self-taught wine enthusiast, Jeeper partnered in 2013 with Michel Reybier, owner of Château Cos d’Estournel (Saint-Estèphe), and from 2022 with former basketball player Tony Parker.
The vineyard
Jeeper tends some fifty hectares of vines spread across some of the most illustrious terroirs in Champagne, namely the Montagne de Reims, the Côte des Blancs and the Vallée de la Marne.
The wine
Jeeper's Cuvée Grand Assemblage Brut is crafted from hillside vineyards on limestone soils. This Brut Champagne has a dosage of 7 g/litre.
Vinification and ageing
Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation. 20% of the Chardonnay is aged for 2 years in oak barrels. Ageing sur lattes lasts a minimum of 4 years.
Blend
Jeeper's Cuvée Grand Assemblage Brut is a blend of Chardonnay (60%), Pinot Noir (25%) and Pinot Meunier (15%).
