Founded at the beginning of the 1950s, the Geoffroy Champagne House has been producing high quality vintages for 4 generations. A vineyard managed with the utmost care as well as a very precise plot-based vinification results in champagnes that exude the purest expression of the terroir and showcase the champagne's vibrant fruit.
Located in the heart of the Marne Valley in Champagne, the estate looks after a 14-hectare vineyard spread over an array of 35 plots.
Respecting the terroir and the authentic expression of each plot, the vineyard’s management favours the microbial activity in the soil and limits human intervention as much as possible.
Made exclusively from the Cumières terroir, Geoffroy's Pureté Premier Cru Brut Nature champagne comprises base wines (53% from 2015, 47% from 2014) as well as from the perpetual reserve, started in 1970.
The vinification and ageing
The grapes, harvested and sorted by hand, are pressed in the traditional way before being vinified by plot in temperature-controlled enamel tanks. The reserve wines are kept in oak tuns and concrete vats. No malolactic fermentation.
Pureté Premier Cru Brut Nature by the Geoffroy Champagne House comprises a blend of 35% Pinot Noir, 35% Pinot Meunier and 30% Chardonnay.
A perfect expression of Pinot Meunier, this champagne seduces with its intense fruity aromas, its roundness and its finesse. Harvested at optimum ripeness, the grapes give off notes of iodine and spice, enhanced by a beautiful freshness.
Food and wine pairing
Enjoy as an apéritif, this zero dosage champagne goes perfectly with oysters, shellfish, unadorned cuisine favouring original and pure flavours or a Brie de Meaux cheese.
