Characteristics and tasting tips for EPC Édition Limitée x Los Pepes Studio 2015
Tasting
This Champagne stands out for its vibrant freshness and pronounced mineral tension. The Chardonnay reveals itself with great precision and elegance, extending into a remarkably long finish.
Serving and cellaring
With a fine structure that balances ripeness and acidity, the "Édition Limitée x Los Pepes Studio" 2015 cuvée has excellent ageing potential and will continue to develop gracefully in the cellar for several years.
A single-plot, artistic expression of an Oger Grand Cru by EPC
The house
Officially founded in 2019, the Champagne house EPC challenges the traditional codes of its region by adopting the model of an innovative start-up. Now led by its co-founder and CEO Édouard Roy, this fully transparent négociant brand works closely with a network of partner growers and cooperatives. Based in Épernay, EPC stands out for its epicurean approach, its exceptional traceability and its use of artificial intelligence in its development. The house is committed to showcasing specific terroirs through single-plot cuvées and artistic collaborations chosen by its community.
The vineyard
This wine comes from a single plot within the Grand Cru-classified terroir of the village of Oger, in the renowned Côte des Blancs. This prestigious area of the Champagne appellation has long been celebrated for its chalky soils and ideal exposures, which offer perfect conditions for growing Chardonnay and allowing it to flourish.
Its label, designed by the Portuguese artist duo Los Pepes Studio following a community vote, is a vivid, colourful visual puzzle concealing hidden messages.
The vintage
2015 is recognised as a great vintage in the region. The particularly favourable weather conditions that year allowed the grapes to reach optimal ripeness while retaining a very fine natural acidity, essential to the balance of the wines.
