A biscuity, silky blanc de blancs with very fine bubbles and aromas of lemon peel, sliced apple, fresh croissant and chalk. It’s elegant and beautifully balanced. Drink now.

Falstaff

Pale yellow with silver reflections. Green apple on the nose, lemon, subtle nutty and biscuit-like notes, some nougat. Citrus-fresh on the palate with fine, elegant mousse, ripe acidity, fruit and honey notes. Long finish with a salty impression.

The current release of the NV Champagne Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs Brut is based on the 2015 vintage and pours a pale straw color. The nose is clean and pure, with sun-kissed ripeness, revealing fresh aromatics of candied green apple, lime, and bread dough. The mousse is elegant, and the wine is ripe, with a rounded feel, and fresh with ripe green apple, lemon-lime, and chalk, followed by a balanced and fairly long finish. It is straightforward, approachable, and classic. Drink 2022-2037.

Bettane+Desseauve

Chardonnay sourced exclusively from the grands crus of the Côte des Blancs. Greenish-yellow color that faithfully and very precisely releases yellow and green citrus; the white flesh of the fruit is ultra-healthy and the skin finely chiseled. The palate is perfectly incisive, superbly elevating the aromas, with remarkable clarity, high-definition flinty tang, and a finish reminiscent of fine confectionery. Such precision—utterly unfiltered.

La RVF

A fairly fresh profile with a well-defined Chardonnay signature. The nose is inviting, showing fine complexity with dried fruits and hazelnut. On the palate, it delivers power and structure worthy of a grand cru—full and rich. With a lovely final tension, this is a rather vinous blanc de blancs.

Taut and mineral, this fine Blanc de Blancs Champagne brings out the crispness of Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs. Its croissant aroma suggests some bottle age, confirmed in the ripeness of the white fruits and acidity. Drink now.

Description

An exceptional champagne highlighting the finesse of chardonnay

The property

Since its creation in 1818 by the couple Elisabeth Salmon and Nicolas-François Billecart, the Champagne Billecart-Salmon House has remained independent, preserving for 7 generations the entirety of its know-how and the demand for the quality of its cuvées.

The vineyard

The vineyard of the Billecart-Salmon House extends from the Côte des Blancs to the Montagne de Reims over nearly 100 hectares. The vines are cultivated and cared for in a traditional way to approach an authentic fruit and reflect the quality of its Champagne terroir.

The wine

The aromatic relief of this Blanc de Blancs champagne is a reflection of the exceptional terroir of the Côte des Blancs. The typicity of this limestone soil is found in the tasting through the alliance between power, freshness and minerality.

Vinification and aging

Vinification in low temperature tanks. The maturation of this Extra Brut champagne is carried out on lees for 5 years in the estate's cellars.

Blend

Chardonnay (100%) from Grands Crus villages of the Côte des Blancs (Avize, Chouilly, Cramant, Mesnil-sur-Oger).
