The Pure Expression of a Pinot Noir from the Marne Valley

The Estate

Founded in 1787 in Fossoy, in the Marne Valley, the family estate is now run by Benoît Déhu, representing the eighth generation. Drawing on enriching experience gained within a prestigious House, this passionate winemaker brought a new dynamic by creating his own Champagne label. The estate stands out for its highly meticulous, artisanal, plot-by-plot approach, championing organic and biodynamic viticulture. Benoît Déhu strives to reveal the authenticity of his terroirs through natural winemaking and carefully controlled ageing in local oak barrels, redefining excellence in Champagne.

The Vineyard

Sourced from a tiny plot at the bottom of a slope in Fossoy, this cuvée comes from a singular terroir in Champagne, made up of clay and sand. Once planted with elm trees, this vineyard is now farmed according to biodynamic principles. It is home to a massale selection of Pommard clones originating from Burgundy, allowing the vines' vigour to be controlled while promoting optimal concentration and great depth in the grapes.

Winemaking and Ageing

The winemaking process for the non-vintage L'Orme V19 follows a minimal-intervention approach. Fermentation begins spontaneously thanks to indigenous yeasts. The wine is entirely vinified and aged in oak barrels, crafted from trees sourced from the surrounding local forests. To preserve maximum tension and great precision, no malolactic fermentation is carried out.
