2010 Morellino di Scansano from Tuscany.
The Morellino di Scansano Riserva of the Italian estate Val delle Rose (Cecchi) is 90% Sangiovese, aged for 12 months in barrels then 8 months in bottles. The 2010 vintage displays a purple-highlighted deep red colour. On the nose, it exhales ripped black fruits aromas, such as cherry, blackberry, or even blackcurrant, typical of Sangiovese. On the palate, the 2010 Morellino di Scansano Riserva shows great balance with a pronounced tannic structure, and a marked finish with fruits and a hint of leather.
