The 2010 Barolo Cerequio of the famous Piedmont domain Roberto Voerzio is a pure Nebbiolo, a wine worth waiting for, so it can fully express itself up until 2030. The deep and intense red coloured 2010 Cerequio gives off ripe dark berry, tobacco leaves, leather, but also liquorice notes and a menthol hint. It is strong on the palate on a marked yet silky tannic structure. The finish is remarkably vibrant and lingering.
The 2010 Barolo Cerequio is a generous and full expression with a touch of tannic tightness at the end that bodes well for future aging. The wine is enormously generous in its display of ripe fruit aromas, spanning wild cherry to red currant. There's a real sense of structure and power on the finish, backed by balanced acidity. Drink: 2016-2030.
