The estate

Since 1859, the Maison Louis Jadot embodies excellence in Burgundy. The family adventure began in 1826 with the acquisition of the prestigious Beaune Premier Cru des Ursules. Thanks to a tradition and expertise passed down from generation to generation, as well as a thriving trading activity, the house has built an international reputation. Louis Jadot offers a wide range of wines, from regional appellations to the most renowned Grands Crus. Since September 2022, the house has been chaired by Thomas Seiter (formerly of Bouchard Père et Fils), with Thibault Gagey as general manager.

The vineyard

This Clos de la Roche Grand Cru comes from an exceptional terroir located in the heart of the Côte de Nuits, not far from Gevrey-Chambertin. The vines, facing east, are rooted in clay-limestone soils, perfect for expressing all the richness of this great Burgundy Grand Cru.

Vinification and aging

Harvesting is done by hand to preserve the quality of the grapes, carefully transported in small crates. Vinification takes place in open vats, either wood or stainless steel, with two punch-downs per day during fermentation. The 18-month aging process is carried out in barrels from the house's cooperage.
