Lirac

Created in 1947, the Lirac appellation covers an area of 715 hectares that is shared between the Lirac, Roquemaure, Saint-Laurent-des-Arbres and Saint-Geniès-de-Comolas communes. The vines enjoy a Mediterranean climate with exceptional sunshine. They are planted in soils of limestone, red clay, pebble, pebble quartz and sand mixed with pebbles. The Lirac appellation produces reds (Grenache Noir, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Cinsault), whites (Grenache Blanc, Bourboulenc, Roussanne, Clairette, Picpoul, Marsanne, Viognier) and rosé wines (Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault). The Lirac are balanced wines, offering powerful tannins and a beautiful roundness. The whites show finesse and delicacy with freshness on the finish. The rosés are smooth and vibrant with an ample, fresh finish and intense aromas.
