Givry Wines

Givry Wines image

Givry is an appellation of about 270 hectares shared among the Dracy-le-Fort, Givry and Jambles communes. There are 38 climats classified as Premier Cru in the Givry appellation. Between 240 to 280 metres above sea level, the vines benefit from brown-chalky and clay-limestone soils. The red Givry Pinot Noir wines are quite structured and benefit from 3 to 5 years of ageing to soften them. Givry also produces Chardonnay white wines that are extremely fine with a sublime balance between acidity and smoothness. They have good ageing potential.
