Description
The elegance of a classic Sancerre with freshness and tension
From the House of Henri Bourgeois, the Sancerre Blanc "Grande Réserve" 2017 reflects all the character of the argilo-limestone soil of Sancerre that is located in the Loire region.
This single varietal wine puts Sauvignon Blanc in the spotlight. The limestone slopes between the famous village of Chavignol and the picturesque Sancerre hill gives this vintage a mineral structure while the clay soil provides suppleness and ampleness on the palate.
The Sancerre Henri Bourgeois "Grande Réserve" Blanc 2017 is an elegant and aromatic vintage. It seduces with the freshness of its bouquet. The vivacity of the grapefruit fragrances gives way to pineapple, floral and vegetable notes with scents of boxwood typical of the Sauvignon Blanc from this region. On the palate, the wine vibrates with a radiant energy revealing generous flavours while keeping an elegant and chiselled structure that stretches all the way to a long, harmonious finish. A magnificent Sancerre revealing all of its terroir's character.
