Vinum

Medium ruby; delicate, finely scented nose with herbs, red berries, cherries, subtle roasted note; juicy and fresh on the palate, medium body, good structure, marked, slightly powdery tannins, beautiful aromatic length, red-fruited, spicy finish. Built for medium-term maturity.

Decanter

Floral scents of rose and red berry fruit, dried herbs, savoury earth and touches of cinnamon. Juicy and soft, this is gentle with lovely calm, chalky tannins. It’s not a big wine in terms of fruit density but there is a gentle chew to the ripe fruit and it’s well framed. This isn't your usual fleshy Chevalier but it’s elegant and detailed, leaning into the vintage and still delivering plenty of easy enjoyment.

65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot. Cask sample. Fine, aromatic nose with spice, red fruit and vanilla notes. Fine, silky tannins. Mid-palate presence. Clean, fresh finish. Harmonious. A good reflection of the vintage. (JL)

Black currants, espresso, black cherries, smoke, and tobacco aromatics create the perfume. The wine is forward, fresh, chewy, and vibrant, with layers of elegant, peppery black cherries and currants, finishing with a touch of mint and tobacco. The blend is 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot, and 5% Cabernet Franc. 12.45% ABV, 3.62 pH. The harvest took place from September 20 to October 8. Drink from 2029–2048. 93–95 pts

Le Figaro Vin

A radiant bouquet that gently and warmly leads you into its secret garden, where roses, peonies and tulips grow. Then notes of bitter orange peel bring depth, highlighted by elegant oak. On the palate, the flowers are close at hand, joined by perfectly ripe fruit wrapped in spice and mocha. A gourmet wine, light as a feather, that will offer immense pleasure without years of waiting.

Vertdevin

The nose is elegant, racy, open, precise, airy and offers complexity. It reveals notes of Boysenberry, Sichuan pepper, and, more subtly, concentrated small dark fruits, with touches of infusion, black cherry, toasted hazelnut, along with a hint of toast, pine needles and a discreet touch of nutmeg. The palate is beautifully guided, fresh, tense, offering juiciness, suppleness and a racy, straightforward tannic structure. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy blackberry, blackcurrant, and, more slightly, bigarreau cherry, with touches of violet and cornflower, as well as hints of lilac and nutmeg. Good length. The tannins are precise and velvety. A wine offering indulgence, a lovely core and a harmonious mid-palate, an iodized side, graphene and a touch of elegant darkness. Beautiful freshness, purity, energy and fine straightness.
