Produced from a vineyard with a total area of 25 hectares in the Margaux appellation, Château Siran benefits from vines aged 31 years on average, planted in soils made up of old alluvial deposits of a sandy gravelly type. The wine is aged in oak barrels (35% in new barrels) for 12 to 14 months depending on the year. The blend of the vintage 2012 contains 55% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Petit Verdot.
Château Siran 2012 reveals extremely complex aromas. This charming wine offers a very good potential for ageing.Note that this comment describes the general profile of the wine presented.
