Description
A Saint-Émilion wine that captivates with elegance and structure
The estate
Owned by Silvio Denz, the Château Peby Faugères is a Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé located on the right bank of Bordeaux. Thanks to Silvio Denz's efforts and investments, Château Peby Faugères has gradually risen among the appellation's finest references.
The vineyard
The vineyard of Château Peby Faugères covers 7.45 hectares of vines in the Saint-Émilion appellation. The vines are planted on a single tract of clay-limestone hillside with a south/southeast exposure. In a constant quest for perfection and respect for the environment, the vineyard is cultivated organically.
The vintage
The vineyard was spared during the frosty nights at the end of April, and the extreme care taken in the vines ensured the berries developed to optimal maturity. Through constant efforts and an uncompromising pursuit of quality, Silvio Denz and his team, advised by Michel Rolland, have succeeded in revealing the purest expression of this unique terroir in wines that are elegant and full of character. This new 2017 vintage marks an important change in the estate's management, as Château Peby Faugères is now undergoing organic conversion.
Grape variety
100% Merlot.
