An emblematic cuvée of the Larmandier-Bernier house, the Champagne Premier Cru no dosage Blanc de Blancs Terre de Vertus reveals the noble expression of the Chardonnay from a single terroir in a single year.
It was in 1995, while tasting the clear wines coming from different places called "lieux-dits" facing south-east and located in the middle of the hillside in Vertus, that the couple Pierre and Sophie Larmandier decided to produce an exceptional Champagne in a single-varietal cuvée that reflects the identity of their native terroir.
Excluding any blending of different plots of vines and not dosed to express the purity and minerality of its terroir, the Champagne Premier Cru no dosage Blanc de Blancs Terre de Vertus was born.
The result of meticulous work with a vineyard entirely cultivated in biodynamic viticulture and perfectly executed vinifications, Champagne Premier Cru no dosage Blanc de Blancs Terre de Vertus follows a natural alcoholic fermentation before starting the malolactic fermentation in different containers (barrels, tuns and vats). After maturing on lees for nearly a year, the wine is bottled before continuing its ageing in the coolness of the house cellars for a period of at least 4 years.
Born from an exceptional vintage in Champagne, the Premier Cru no dosage Blanc de Blancs Terre de Vertus 2012 invites you to a unique experience. The pure saline minerality of the Terre de Vertus terroirs expresses itself with rare finesse and elegance, displaying a sapid generosity full of energy. A very great Champagne to be savoured now or to be drunk between now and 2022.
