The estate
The Domaine Verget was established in 1990, founded by Jean-Marie Guffens, already renowned for his work at Domaine Guffens-Heynen. With Verget, he aims to produce wines of excellence by sourcing grapes from winemakers rigorously chosen for their commitment and respect for the Burgundy terroir. Guffens applies to Verget the same high standards of quality and selection as at Domaine Guffens-Heynen, favoring partners passionate about responsible viticulture.
The vineyard
Located in the renowned region of Pouilly-Fuissé, the "Les Combes Vieilles Vignes" vineyard benefits from a southeast exposure that allows optimal maturation of the chardonnays.
The vintage
The vines benefited from a mild winter and a rainy spring, followed by a hot and sunny summer, which allowed optimal maturation of the grapes. The first tastings reveal fruity and balanced wines, with a beautiful freshness.
