Saint-Peray

Saint-Péray is a Rhône Valley appellation and was created in 1936. It covers over 75 hectares and is shared between the Saint-Péray and Toulaud communes. The vines benefit from a fairly cool microclimate and grow in extremely diverse soils that include granite, limestone, marine deposits, clay-limestone, loess and alluvium. The Saint-Péray appellation produces still and sparkling white wines from the Marsanne and Roussanne varieties. The still white wines of the Saint-Péray appellation combine subtlety, freshness and balance with floral and mineral aromas. The sparkling wines develop toasty fragrances along with honey and dried fruit notes.
