Domaine Vincent Pinard : Grand Chemarin 2023

Opens with a light creaminess and floral character on the nose. On the palate it has great depth of fruit, with a powerful, savoury, saline character. It tingles with mineral acidity while still feeling delicate and refined. All of the Pinard wines go through malolactic fermentation during the primary fermentation, which gives an integrated texture that is not at all heavy or buttery. The wine ages on its lees in old oak for a year with no stirring of the lees. Bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimal sulphur. From 50-year-old vines that grow on this classic site in Bué, the grapes are grown using biodynamic methods and harvested by hand. In conversion to organic certification.
