Description
Characteristics and Tasting Tips for the Tressallier Brut Nature 2024 from Les Bérioles
Tasting notes
Appearance
The wine displays an elegant effervescence, forming a stream of exceptionally fine bubbles.
Nose
Delicate and wonderfully fresh, the nose releases subtle citrus notes, particularly lemon, harmoniously blended with floral, briny and saline touches.
Palate
The palate captivates with its vibrancy. Carried by a lovely acidic tension and a medium body, this dry sparkling wine unfolds a delicate texture that stretches into a lingering finish, marked by a remarkable saline imprint.
Food and wine pairing
Ideal for elevating an aperitif, this wine also pairs wonderfully with a seafood platter, oysters, shellfish or even grilled white fish.
Serving and cellaring
For optimal enjoyment, we recommend serving the Tressallier Brut Nature 2024 at a temperature of around 11°C. This wine can be enjoyed from its early years, but will continue to gain complexity and can be drunk until approximately 2030.
Other characteristics
This sparkling wine is a brut nature, meaning that no dosage liqueur is added. Its alcohol content is 13% vol.
The Minerality and Freshness of a Sparkling Wine
The estate
Founded in 1989 by Odile and Olivier Teissèdre, Les Bérioles extends over a vineyard of 17 to 18 hectares. Now run by their son, Jean Teissèdre, the estate is distinguished by its deep commitment to respecting living ecosystems. Certified organic since 2019 and moving towards biodynamics, the estate focuses on showcasing local terroirs and indigenous grape varieties through highly precise cuvées, thus becoming a key player in the renewal of its appellation.
The vineyard
This sparkling wine comes from a blend of plots located in the commune of Cesset. The vines, cultivated organically, benefit from a south-east exposure that is ideal for preserving the freshness of the berries. They thrive on clay-limestone soils, which give this Loire cuvée its characteristic tension and mineral signature.
Winemaking and ageing
The hand-harvested grapes, picked into small crates, are followed by rigorous sorting on a table. After cold settling, fermentation takes place at a low temperature to preserve aromatic purity. The Tressallier Brut Nature 2024 is then made using the traditional method, with the second fermentation in bottle and ageing on lees for twelve months. Disgorgement is carried out without any dosage, and bottling takes place at the estate.
