Decanter

Same family as Château Coufran, but here majoring on Cabernet Sauvignon as opposed to Merlot. This comes through in a savoury fruit character, with cassis and cool blueberry notes, slightly stalky tannins on the finish but enjoyable with plenty of Médoc signature menthol freshness.

James Suckling

Dark fruit, dried leaves, walnuts and baking spices on the nose. Medium-bodied with firm tannins. Flavorful, rich fruit and nut-chocolate character, leading to a vivid finish. 70% cabernet sauvignon, 25% merlot and 5% cabernet franc. Drink after 2023.

Vertdevin

The nose is fruity, with elegance and complexity, as well as a subtle spicy edge. It reveals notes of wild blackberry and pepper, with lighter touches of violet, alongside hints of sour cherry, star anise, delicate nuances of blueberry, and a subtle touch of Madagascar pepper and cinnamon. The palate is rich and rounded, offering freshness and minerality, good definition, a slight tension, accuracy, and a tangy acidic backbone. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of fleshy/juicy blackberry and tangy wild raspberry, with lighter notes of blueberry/lily, joined by touches of cardamom, bergamot and toast, as well as a subtle, almost star-anise-like hint and toasted almond. The tannins are precise, refined and structuring.
