The 2009 Château Saint-Pierre shows an elegant and intense dark purple colour. The complexity of the rich and concentrated black fruit aromas gives way to a dense, silky and balanced structure on the palate. The almost creamy tannins unctuousness is mellow. This Saint-Julien structure is precise, and the tannic base offers a good persistence on the palate with a distinguished finish.

Wine Advocate-Parker :
Medium to deep garnet in color, the 2009 Saint-Pierre displays maturing notes of crème de cassis, blackberry pie and prunes with hints of cardamom, fennel and star anise. Full-bodied, concentrated and jam-packed with black fruit preserves and fantastic freshness to balance, it has a firm, grainy texture and very long, exotic spice finish.
