The Style of a Great Saint-Estèphe Cru Bourgeois

A Cru Bourgeois since 1932, Château Laffitte Carcasset is one of the reliable names of the highly renowned Saint-Estèphe appellation in the Médoc.

With wines that have consistently stood out in recent years for their quality and reliability, Château Laffitte Carcasset 2017 confirms its place among the finest Crus Bourgeois of the Left Bank in the Bordeaux region, in a vintage full of challenges.

A superb 18th-century estate surrounded by vineyards planted in the heart of Saint-Estèphe's plateau of Garonne gravel, Château Laffitte Carcasset has been renowned for its wines for more than two centuries.

Following the estate's acquisition by Mr Rousseau in 2016, this new vintage is marked by excellence and renewal, as it is the first to be made with the team of consultant oenologist Hubert de Boüard.

The many investments and improvements made, both in the vineyard and in the cellar, have undoubtedly helped to define the wine's style and quality even more precisely.

With a blend dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon (59%), complemented by Merlot (40%) and Cabernet Franc (1%), Château Laffitte Carcasset 2017 brilliantly showcases the excellence of the Médoc style. To preserve the purity of the fruit, the wine is aged in oak for 12 months, with 30% new French oak barrels.
