2008 Margaux Cru Bourgeois
Chateau La Tour de Mons single-owned 48-hectar vineyard lies on limestone-clay and Garonne gravel soils. The 2008 vintage is 56% Merlot, 39% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Petit Verdot.
The wine displays a bright garnet-red colour. The nose reveals delicate scents of violet with underlying hints of pepper. This offering is built on finesse, with volume and softness. Muffled tannins coat the palate with lightly spiced flavours and blended wood, all the while boasting pleasant aromatic persistence.
