The estate
An essential benchmark in Pomerol, Château Gazin has very long-standing origins. In 1917, Château Gazin was acquired by Louis Soualle, great-grandfather of the current owners, the De Bailliencourt dit Courcol family.
The vineyard
The Château Gazin 2023 is a Pomerol wine from a 26-hectare vineyard planted on the upper terrace of a clay-gravel terroir. This makes Château Gazin the largest estate in this renowned appellation on the Right Bank of the Bordeaux region.
Winemaking and ageing
Aged for 16 months in barrels (50% new and 50% once-used).
Blend
Merlot (89%)
Cabernet Franc (7%)
Cabernet Sauvignon (4%).
