2014 Saint-Estèphe from Bordeaux
Chateau Capbern is one of the properties of the Suravenir group (also owner of Chateau Calon Ségur) and gains in style and precision in 2014. This Saint-Estèphe is 78% Cabernets (Sauvignon and Franc), 19% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot. The 2014 Capbern offers freshness, vibrancy and fruity aromas. Very expressive before swirling (on dark berries), this Saint-Estèphe evolves into more spicy accents after swirling (Petit Verdot hallmark) and shows straightforwardness. The palate reveals a frank attack. It is carefully built on sappy and noble tannins. It is a solid wine.
