Description
The structure and aromatic finesse of a Grand Cru from Saint-Émilion by Château Brun
The estate
The origins of Château Brun date back to the 16th century. Since then, the family estate has been passed down from generation to generation, ensuring the continuity of a traditional know-how in its purest form. This centuries-old heritage is at the origin of a Grand Cru of the Saint-Émilion appellation.
The vineyard
On the slopes of a hill to the northwest of Saint-Émilion, the 10.95-hectare vineyard of Château Brun benefits from a south-facing clay-limestone terroir. The vines, averaging 30 years old, are planted in a single block and managed in the traditional manner.
Winemaking and aging
Hand-harvested and then sorted, the grapes are destemmed and vinified in temperature-controlled concrete tanks. Maceration lasts 18 to 20 days. Racking. Aging takes place over 18 months in barrels.
Blend
Merlot and Cabernet Franc.
