Château Bellefont-Belcier 2018

An Expression of the Saint-Émilion Terroir

The Grand Vin of the Grand Cru Classé estate Château Bellefont-Belcier, owned by the Vignobles k, reveals in its 2018 vintage the essence of the Saint-Émilion terroir.

Situated on the left bank of the Bordeaux region, the magnificent vineyard of Château Bellefont-Belcier stretches over 13.5 hectares of vines planted on a magnificent terroir of clay-limestone soils and “molasses du Fronsadais.” The vines are cultivated through plot-by-plot management with a natural grass cover, all while respecting the natural balance of the environment. The wines are vinified in concrete vats and with no sulfur added during fermentation.

The Château Bellefont-Belcier 2018 from the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé is a blend dominated by Merlot (70%), complimented by Cabernet Franc (25%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (5%). The wine is aged 30% in new barriques, 10% in foudres, 30% in new oak barrels and 30% in second-use barrels.
